Key Takeaways
We're excited to release the first version of a new set of insights designed to surface testing trends
You can now view some aggregate stats about your subset requests on the "Subset your tests" page in the Launchable dashboard.
Pytest JSON reports are now supported
It might feel like perpetual Groundhog Day to some, but at Launchable we’ve been busy bringing new, exciting features to accelerate velocity of software testing.
We know faster software testing improves feedback and helps deliver faster validation during development. New this month, we’ve rolled out a new testing trends dashboard, support for pytest JSON reports, and more. Check out the latest product updates and see how we’re working to drive developer productivity and happiness with faster software testing tools.
New Insights: Introducing the Testing Trends Dashboard
We're excited to release the first version of a new set of insights designed to surface testing trends. Once you've started sending data to Launchable, you can now view three new graphs in the Launchable webapp:
Test session duration over time
Test session frequency over time
Test session failure ratio over time
These graphs provide new visibility into the evolution of your test suite that can be hard to get without Launchable. For example, you can now spot increases in test session duration that can be amplified by increased frequency (perhaps due to team growth). Similarly, you can see if your test sessions have started failing more often -- perhaps an indicator that a test or recent change needs looking into.
Enjoy the new dashboard! We look forward to surfacing more information like this as we expand this area of our product.
View Aggregate Predictive Test Selection Time Savings Stats
You can now view some aggregate stats about your subset requests on the "Subset your tests" page in the Launchable dashboard. The new summary at the top of the page gives you a sense of how much testing time you're saving each day using Predictive Test Selection.
pytest JSON Reports Are Now Supported
We've updated the Launchable CLI's pytest integration to support JSON reports in addition to XML reports. JSON is now the recommended format for submitting test reports with --launchable record tests.
